Healing Matrix

It's been known for some time that many illnesses are at least partly caused by psychological or emotional issues. We also know that people have enormous self-healing potential, given the right conditions simply because they believe that they will be healed. Medical science has come to recognize that the mind can have a very beneficial influence on the body's ability to heal. Case in point, the documentary "The Secret" addresses this as well as the minds ability to change one's life circumstances.

If the unconscious mind can accomplish such feats of self-healing, then it is likely what in part goes on with 'psychic healing' can be somewhat like a placebo effect. Some people in the scientific community want to know, if psychic healing is just self-healing, then all they need to do in order to encourage such self-healing, is to understand the psychological and interpersonal factors that trigger it. On the other hand, if the healer really 'does' something to the patient, then they would want to understand how to enhance or amplify that healing 'power.'

If there is some telepathic rapport between the two persons, then one (the patient) may simply be acting as a 'receiver' in a telepathy experiment, unconsciously picking up information from the 'sender' and then inducing slight shifts in his or her own physiology. In this case, we are back to a form of self-induced healing - a telepathically induced placebo effect!

What's the difference between telepathically triggered self-healing, vs. a healing truly based on another person's influence, i.e., based on psychokinesis (mind-over-matter)? There are several theoretical issues here; but there's also at least one important practical concern. In real instances of illness or disease, a patient may not have the resources, mentally, psychologically or physically, to induce self-healings, even given the kinds of suggestions, which usually trigger placebo effects. By contrast, if healing - and not just healing suggestions - really comes from an external source, then a vital, confident healer could still input positive 'energy' into the patient's organism and restore health.

People who come to a healer may be desperate; they may have abandoned hope with conventional treatment methods. To many, it might feel like the healer is their last hope. Others, having developed a solid distrust of allopathic medicine, may feel that mental or psychic means of treatment are the only way to go. Either way, many coming into a healing session have high hopes and expectations, or are in a hyper-suggestible state. If, coupled with this receptive state of mind, and a healer who the patient resonates with --then the situation may be just right to trigger a self-healing process, leading to alleviation of symptoms or even a cure.

Many, anecdotes and testimonies about miraculous healings, don't permit us to infer what kind of mechanisms are involved -- whether the healing was based on 'normal' psychophysiology, or whether it involved a truly 'paranormal' element. Generally, it is very difficult to distinguish psychic healing from self-healing.

The theoretical or metaphysical implications, of healing are mind-boggling (that's one of the reasons there's so much resistance to accepting paranormal phenomena in general).

Perhaps healing can take place on many levels. First, at the soul level, second the intention of the patient to be healed, and thirdly by the healer's intentions, thoughts, and energy as a conduit for healing of these social and psychological factors. Does it matter if healing is a fully internal process, the 'healer' being just a convenient trigger of self-healing, or if it is a genuinely paranormal process.

Either way, many coming into a healing session have high hopes and expectations, or are in a hyper-suggestible state. If, coupled with this receptive state of mind, we have a healer who we resonate with --then the situation may be just right to trigger a self-healing process, leading to alleviation of symptoms or even a cure.

Bottom line, I believe that all healing takes place in the Healing Matrix of God, and that none of us are separate from this source. If it is our destiny to be healed, it is done one way or the other. If not, our ultimate healing may mean leaving this reality and entering another. When it is our time, we return to the Matrix. Where something is developed, birthed - a point of origin.

Blessings in Disguise

I recently had a conversation with a woman who was telling me how blessed her life has been. I asked her, “how has it been blessed”?. She said “I and my family have always had good health, we are very financially comfortable and we are happy.” She went on to say,“ I have not had any challenges in my life, no sorrow, nothing disruptive”. “I feel blessed”!.

It may seem odd to you who are reading this, but I thought to myself, “Wow! What a boring life”. I later reflected on my life and the lives of so many of my friends and clients, who have been challenged in one way or another almost from birth. We may have had victim experiences, but we are not in essence victims. Would we say we have been blessed?

The answer is, Yes!

It is a blessing that all of us have come through the rough times and have learned so much more about ourselves and life. We have gained in wisdom, patience, faith, perseverance, compassion, and understanding.

It is my realization that we are not the personality nor the stories we experienced. The challenges were put before us to “awaken us to who we truly are”.

That we truly are spiritual beings having human experiences. It is not about, being famous, wealthy, or having the “perfect’ life or family. It is about what we do with what has been given.

My dearest friend passed over on the winter solstice 2008. She so eloquently lived through many life struggles and in one of her poorest financial times she gave her last few coins so that someone else might have a better Christmas.

She we able to look beyond the present situation, to know there was something higher and more purposeful going on and to trust her inner guidance. She also had the unique gift of looking past what was evident to many of us, and see who that person really was under the experience.

The greatest gift she gave me in her last hours on earth, Is that I witnessed her as she stripped away all that I had know about her, she showed me her soul, and the greatest gift that had ever been given to me, she showed me my soul.

Since her death I have different eyes, I can more easily see beyond what is being presented. I am less quick to judge, but instead, I ask to see experiences or people in a different light.

If she were here today would she want a different life, I think she would say “not so much”.

I see the blessing and gift in all my life experiences, and I can look back and see how interesting and exciting my life has been. All the blessing in the disguise of challenge. So to have a perfect life, is that really my goal, or is seeing my life perfectly my goal? You bet it is!

What are the Blessings in your life?

My Christmas E-Mail

I have a list of people I know, all logged in my computer,
And now at Christmas time I have gone to take a look.

And that is when I realize that these names are a part,
Not of the computer they're stored in, but of my heart.
For each name stands for someone who has crossed my path sometime,
And in that meeting they've become the rhythm in each rhyme.
And while it sounds fantastic for me to make this claim,
I feel that I'm composed of each remembered name.

And while you may not be aware of any special link,
Just meeting you has changed my life, a lot more than you think!
For once I have met somebody, the years cannot erase,
The memory of a pleasant word (or E-mail) or of a friendly face.
So never think my Christmas E-mails are just a mere routine,
Of names upon an address list, forgotten in between.

For when I do a Christmas E-mail that is addressed to you,
It's because you're on the list of people I'm indebted to.
And whether I have known you for many years or few,
In some way you have been a part of shaping things I do.
And now that Christmas has come, I realize anew,
The best gift life can offer is meeting people like you.

Merry Christmas! Happy New Year!

What do you think?

You cannot legislate the poor into prosperity by legislating the wealthy out of prosperity. What one person receives without working for, another person must work for without receiving. The government cannot give to anybody anything that the government does not first take from somebody else. When half of the people get the idea that they do not have to work because the other half is going to take care of them, and when the other half gets the idea that it does no good to work because somebody else is going to get what they work for, that my dear friend,is the beginning of the end of any nation. You cannot multiply wealth by dividing it."* * Adrian Rogers, 1931*

A Shamans Journey

A personal story

A Shaman is defined primarily as a healer and a spiritual counselor. Deeply connected with life, she is more than her calling as a Shaman, she Is the calling. From early childhood she had a very pressing urge to learn about shamanism. This is a most reliable mark of a shamanic calling, especially if she didn’t realize the motive of it.

The Shamanic calling may be revealed by the following marks dating back to birth or early childhood:

1.As a child, she was a loner? People considered her eccentric or "different".

2.From early childhood she saw glimpses of the future while going to unknown places, déjà vu.

3.Spirits and those on the other side have contacted her in someway

4.Animals appeared to her as messengers.

5. She had near death experiences. Underwent symbolic deaths in areas of material belongings, marriage, social standing, vocation, and anything else that might link that person with their old life.

  1. Aside from the physical near-death and the dismantlement of her old life, she underwent severe illness. A common theme with these tests is that the shaman must face illness and tests that are physical, mental, emotional and spiritual in nature.

  1. There is usually very little mundane assistance for her, and part of the test as a shaman is having to figure it out, and call upon the appropriate assistance from the spirit world.

8. One commonality in surviving a shamanic test is that it will involve assistance from the spirit realms. As a shaman she will call upon her teachers and protectors from the spirit realms to cure the illness, or find the answer to her test. Often this a major step for her to learn, is which allies works with her from the spirit world. As a shaman she cannot do this work without a team of allies in the spirit realm. These allies might be personal guides attached to her, ascended masters, totem animals, elements, plant spirits, angelic realms, “other world beings,” and many others of which the average individual is unaware.

9. The shamanic path is not to be taken lightly. It is not willingly chosen in traditional society, and instead the path chooses the individual.

Immersed in her spiritual path she uses energy work, dreams, journeys, shifting, soul retrieval, and deeply engrained intuition to assist others to heal their spirit. She connects with the Creator/Great Spirit/God as the source from which all healing takes place.

************************************************************

The prayer of my heart.“ God, awaken me to who I really am”, had been heard and answered. Little did I know, at least at the conscious level that going to Hawaii, would be the time and place to be seen and acknowledged as a Shaman. A “Secret” I held close to my heart all my life. The Shamanic Journey has been my life and I share it with love.

My Messenger the Crow

Crow guides the magic of healing and the change in consciousness that will bring about a new reality and dispel disease or illness.

The day of my departure for a month long stay in Honolulu Hawaii, I heard a persistent ruckus outside my house. It continued and did not let up, so I pulled myself away from my last minute packing to see what was making this noise.

To my surprise and delight a large Maple tree in my yard was filled with hundreds of black crows, I knew this was a message of some kind for me as this large of occurrence had never happened to my knowledge on the property or in my life. Once I had acknowledge that the Crows had come for me, they quickly took flight and emptied the tree of their presence.

I came back in the house and searched for the possible meaning of this event. It seems that when Crow shows up in one’s life it is an omen of change. WOW! It must be a big one! A time to step back from the usual way of viewing reality and look into the inner realms. A time to let go of old thinking and embrace a new way of viewing oneself and the world. The Crow signals that that one has transcended mortal law, and to permit one’s higher self to become you leader.

Crow asks us to be willing to walk our talk, speak our truth, and know our life’s mission, balancing past, present, and future in the now. We are invited to Shape-shift that old reality and become our future self. This message could not have been any truer for me.

For a long time a prayer of my heart has been, “God, awaken me to who I truly am”. I never dream-pt that this prayer would be answered in Hawaii. My reason for this trip was to spend time with a friend, bask in the sun and swim in the ocean, a true vacation. The universe had another reason.

I had the great honor to attend the Unity Church of Hawaii, where my friend was doing her ministerial internship. Through her I met many wonderful people deeply dedicated to walking their spiritual path. I was invited to attend an endeavor group whose focus was on support, encouragement and spiritual growth amongst the staff members.

That night I was asked to share my spiritual journey up to present time. It was never my intention to share with them a secret I had held close to my heart all of my life.

As I spoke my body started to tremble, my mouth felt dry, and tears began to gather in my eyes only to over flow down my cheeks. I heard my self sharing this secret, and as I looked around the room, all I could see was disbelief and judgement. What had I done. I sat in silence the rest of the meeting as others who were new to the circle told of their journey. At the end of the meeting I quickly left the seeking to find a place to breath and sooth myself. What must my friend think of me, to share something so very deeply personal to total strangers, her new pier group.

The next day to my surprise I was invited to speak on Intuition, at one of Unity’s classes. After the presentation, a woman asked me If I would come to Maui to do healing work on her friend. She paid for my flight and my services. This would be one of many opportunities over the next few weeks to serve, from my heart, more authentically than ever before. Being in Hawaii had a profound healing on and for me that answered the prayer of my heart. I am radically changed and I am deeply grateful for all those who touched my life.

Nameste~Mahalo to all of you
